Hi
Normally you should have an wifi router which your phone and your computer’s are connected and they are on the same network, then you should be definitely able to connect. In your case It might not work but try the following, First run the Remote Magic Mouse Server on your laptop. Turn on your wifi on your phone and connect to your laptop wifi hotspot, test your phone connection and see if it is connected to your wifi hotspot, then use the ip number shown on Remote Magic Mouse Server and enter this number on the application.

Nothing happens when I dubble click the .exe or .jar file….
I’m on WinVista Home premium. And yes, I have Java installed.
Hi
Being honest with you, never had the chance to test it on WinVista but i can definitely tell you that it works on XP and Win7. It might be something to do with Vista . other than that app server is pretty much quite straight forward and it should not cause any bugs. unless there is something wrong with java and vista. I would recommend if you want to try it out, use a different OS .

Hi
it is working very good, but i have a little problem when i want to move windows on desktop.
as i know i should tap screen to click on window title bar and then hold my finger to move that.
something like laptop’s touch pad, but it didn’t work. is there any way to do that?
Hi
Thanks for using Remote Magic Mouse , Currently it does not have the drag feature ,but we might try to add this in the upcoming updates.
Very nice idea , thanks
I don’t like the Motion Control.
I just tried the demo while playing Slender 0.9.5 and the character keeps spinning around in circles.
I want the Motion Control to move the mouse cursor up when I tilt the phone up then as I tilt it down the cursor moves down with it. As if my phone was a flash light.
Oh ya and I am running Windows Vista 64bit with Galaxy S phone.
I also tried to set the option as Gaming mode.
As We have mentioned in the app info , Not all games are supported , Some game engines behaves differently than others, Motion Control works with few games.
Hi friend this sounds a great application but i have windows ultimate i tried upto .jar version nothing is working can u help wit it

It’s a great app but the server won’t run in my Windows 7 64-bit despite having the latest Java (as of Sep 5, 2012) and trying to run both .exe and .jar files. It works well in Windows 7 32-bit though.
I know that so many peps complain about Windows 7 , but actually it works on my Samsung Laptop Windows 7 64bits with no problem.

Hi it seems that you’re just ignoring everyone that it saying its not working on Win7.. I have win7 ultimate and i have Java installed but i double click the .exe and the .jar, both of which do not open, ever. Are you sure you’ve actually tested it on windows 7? I don’t have a firewall and its allowed on my antivirus. Seems that its broken.
Hi Joe
It has been tested on Samsung laptop running Windows 7 Home 64bit and Hp Desktop running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit system. I will post the screenshots soon . As I said , it has been tested on Ubuntu Linux,Mac OS X Lion, Windows Xp ,Windows 7 but not on Windows Vista. I do recommend Mac and Linux , I am not sure why so many people having problem with Windows 7 .Until we come up with better solution ,we will stick to the Java for the Server app.
Thanks
Whiztools Dev
Tried every way to down load and open the Magic Mouse Server exe Not working and wont open Im running Win 7 with Java I give up life is too short

Hey guys! Judging by the description it should be a great app but one thing doesn’t allow me to try it out:
I have Wi-Fi connection between my laptop and Android device through a hotspot on the Android device. Unfortunately the app requires me to start the Wi-Fi receiver on the Android which turns off the hotspot so connection breaks. If I make the hotspot on my laptop the Android device somehow can’t detect it so it’s not an option.
Is it possible at all to make it work during the connection through hotspot on Android device that’s running your app?
PS: the server runs ok, I have the IP on my Win7 laptop, the app on the phone also starts without a problem, i enter the IP but as mentioned above it wants me to kill the hotspot and start the receiver.
Hi
You can not use your phone both as wifi hotspot and wifi enabled . You can only share your 3g network connection with wifi tethering(hotspot) but once you enable your wifi , you hotspot will stop working. This is nothing to do with the application itself , You need a home network where you have a router ,your laptop and you phone is connected to that router over the wifi, then application will work exactly as described.

Whiztools Dev
I know that, I just thought it might be possible to make it work with hotspot on without wi-fi enabled, but ok, impossible…
I’ve tried the app at work (with Wi-Fi router and Win XP laptop) it works!
the ordinary mode is funny, it feels the same as having your touchpad extracted from the laptop 🙂
the motion control requires a lot of skill 🙂 and yes, someone has mentioned already, probably would be better to do the up/down motion without inverse, it just feels so much more natural to tilt your phone down to get the cursor lower. Or probably make it optional.
Anyway, great job!
I also loved the desktop watch! works pretty fast and shows good image, I’ll try to get it on my bosses laptop HAHA! 😀
